Santander UK has an ambitious goal: to create a hub and newsroom for SMEs interested in global trade. They asked Astra if we could create a steady drumbeat of engaging, original, articles on global trade that would position Santander as an authority in the sector. The challenge was threefold: create non-promotional content that supports Santander’s clients in their international trade journeys, give the bank’s partners the chance to share their experience and advice, and draw new subscribers to the platform once it launches in June.
Astra assembled a team of highly experienced business writers and editors to work with the Santander Navigator team and generate timely stories with actionable insights, including features, listicles, and Q&As. The stories spotlight issues that SMEs care about when looking to expand to new countries, from evergreen topics like navigating culture clash to current events such as the impact of rising US tariffs.
Our team is producing a high-volume flow of quality stories covering a huge range of countries, regions, and sectors, including clean energy, health care, manufacturing, and marketing. Our work has received stellar feedback from Santander’s managers and has led to a surge in interest from the bank’s partners, with a massive jump in requests to be featured or quoted in our stories, boosting the value and expertise that Santander can offer its clients.
